ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL REVITALIZATION (NCR)
Through the Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization (NCR) Program NDC is able to offer free visualization studies and retail façade designs in NCR corridors of urban Columbus, including Main Street, Long Street, Parsons Avenue, Cleveland Avenue, Mt. Vernon Avenue, and West Broad Street in Franklinton and the Hilltop. The FRAME program concentrates Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization grants in a selected area on Broad Street in Franklinton. The program became a branding initiative to give the commercial corridor updated signage and building facades with a distinctive building address numbering system.
MILE ON HIGH
Funds were designated by the City of Columbus for the inventory of first floor retail and select design concepts for downtown commercial properties.
LANDBANK INVENTORY
An assessment of 170 city owned properties was documented by the Neighborhood Design Center. Profiles were created per address in the Hilltop, Franklinton, King Lincoln, Linden, and Southside neighborhoods. Each profile includes detailed photographs and diagrams with corresponding notes for necessary improvements for marketability. For other inventories completed by the NDC visit our RESOURCES page.
